Born in 1967 in Kırklareli, Erdoğan Dur married and father to a daughter. He studied at 19 Mayıs and got his Tourism and Hospitality education from Anadolu University. In 2009 he attended the TOBB-Eurochambers joint program at Bahçeşehir University where he acquired expertize on the European Union. He also attended a similar program in 2012-2013 at Middle East Technichal University. In 2011 he also completed the Eurochambers' Academy of Commerce in Brussels. He holds various certificates in ISO Total Quality Management.
Erdoğan Dur started his professional career in the private sector in 1996 as Manager of Balıkşehir Tansaş Mall. Later on between 1996 and 2008 he worked as Balıkşehir's Chamber of Commerce Deputy Secretary General. 2008-2013 as Secretary General and between 2013-2014 held Board of Director's positions in Balıkşehir's Chamber of Commerce and in BASİAD. He is also a columnist for Marmara Bölge Gazetesi, a local newspaper, and he speaks English.
