Nazan Butuner completed her university education at Usak University and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. During the last semester of university, she worked in the Finance and Denim departments of Taha Holding/LC Waikiki.
From 2017 to 2022, she gained experience in various positions such as field coordination, education coordination, project management, and deputy directorship at Habitat Association. Between 2008 and 2022, she worked as an Education Coordinator and Project Manager in My Sister Project, implemented in partnership with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Coca-Cola Turkey, and also served as a member of the Volunteer Management Committee.
Having worked in the private sector and civil society for over 9 years, Butuner has been responsible for corporate partnership development, communication, dissemination, financial reporting, stakeholder and partner relations.
As of April 2022, Butuner has assumed the role of Deputy Program Director of the WeLEAD Project, supported by Türkiye İş Bankası (Turkish Bank for Business and Development), at TÜRKONFED (Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation). Since April 2023, she has been working as the Program Director of the WeLEAD
