He was born in 1984 in Izmir, Turkey. He completed his high school degree in İzmir Bornova Anatolian High School in 2002, bachelor degree in Business Administration in Ankara Bilkent University in 2006, masters’ degree in International Trade in California State University, East Bay in 2007 and second masters’ degree in Logistics Management in İzmir Economy University.
Alp Avni Yelkenbiçer has started his business career in Yelkenbiçer Group of Companies, operating in logistics, fuel, automotive and construction. He is still the vice president of Yelkenbiçer Group of Companies and is also an accredited licensed angel investor affiliated to the Undersecretariat of Treasury.
He was Member of the Main Board of Directors at Karşıyaka Sports Club between 2014-2015 and Member of the Board of Directors at Pınar Karşıyaka between 2014-2016. He was Board Member of Bornova Anatolian High School Education Foundation between 2017-2019. He has been member of the Board of Trustees of Bornova Anatolian High School Education Foundation since 2017. Since 2018, he has been a mentor at Endeavor Entrepreneur Training Association and he has been member of Board of Directors of Ege University Ege Teknopark.
He has been a member of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce İZQ Executive Board since 2019, member of the Board of IZQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center since March 2021, Vice President of the Western Anatolian Industrialists' and Businessmen's Federation (BASİFED) since April 2021. He was Vice President of the Executive Board of EGİAD Angel Investment Network between 2016-2019. He was Vice President of the Board of EGİAD between 2019-2021.
He has been the Chairman of the Board of EGIAD since March 2021.
