Erhan Arslan, a PhD candidate and expert on European Union foreign policy, completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul Bilgi University, Department of International Relations, graduating with high honors and first in his class. He obtained his master’s degree from Boğaziçi University, Department of European Studies, with distinction and first place. In 2013, he completed the European Commission’s Jean Monnet program at Queen Mary University of London, Department of International Relations, with distinction, writing his thesis on the European Union’s Foreign Policy during the Arab Spring. He is currently pursuing his PhD studies at Koç University, Department of Political Science and International Relations. He has academic expertise in the fields of Political Science and International Relations.
Between 2012 and 2013, Arslan worked as an expert and project coordinator in the field of international education. From 2014 to 2019, he served as a research assistant at Koç University, and between 2017 and 2019, he was the managing editor of Transatlantic Policy Quarterly. In the field of civil society, he was a founding member of the Co-Opinion Network prior to his involvement with TÜRKONFED and SEDEFED. Various research projects, academic projects, and scholarships he contributed to were funded at different times by the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG), the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, Koç University, and the European Commission. He has publications in the field of International Relations.
Since 2019, he has been working under the umbrella of TÜRKONFED and currently serves as the Deputy Secretary General. In the past, he coordinated the Local Development for Business, Resilient SMEs Strong Tomorrow, and Customs Union for SMEs projects, and has actively contributed to the writing, execution, establishment, and coordination of numerous other projects.
