Ozan Diren is the grandson of the late Mr. M. Vasfi Diren, the founder of DİMES and Diren Wines who literally implanted the first seeds of these brands, at the back yard of his family mansion at Tokat in 1958 with his idealist vision, “We need to find ways to add value to the farmers’ endeavors and to our country’s fertile lands”. Ozan Diren today leads one of Turkey’s most exciting and inspiring beverage companies.
Ozan Diren started working at DİMES during his university years, and he has undertaken active responsibilities at every level in Production, Sales, Accounting, IT, Marketing and HR departments between 1993 and 1999 while pursuing his academic schedule. He received his bachelor’s degree as an Industrial Engineer from the Technical University of Istanbul in 1997, and in 1999 he received his first post graduate degree, in Marketing, from the University Of Hartford in the USA.
Also in 1999, Diren has pioneered the founding of, and taking a leading as General Manager in Nobel Pazarlama, a company dedicated for the marketing for DİMES products, in line with the corporate vision and the developing competition environment, as the ‘new generation’ executive.
Diren has completed the Finance Masters’ program at the University of Istanbul in 2001; and in 2011 he was appointed as DİMES General Manager as the third generation of his family.
Ozan Diren leads DİMES sets competitive power as a priority, combined with an uncompromising loyalty to the company’s founding spirit and principles. Under his leadership DİMES pursues a consistent growth performance, and large scale investments like the Aydın production facility (2012).
President of Turkey Beverage Industry Council President of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Ozan Diren also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Turkish Fruit Juice Industry Association (MEYED). He has also memberships in in Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), Wine Producers’ Association (ŞÜD), Federation of Food and Drink Industry Associations of Turkey (TGDF), the Association of Packed Milk and Dairy Products (ASÜD), and The Association of Turkish Milk, Meat, Food Industrialists and Manufacturers (SETBİR).
Diren is also a member of International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers (IFU); and he served as the federation’s Representative in Charge in Eurasia and Southeastern Europe between May 2010 and June 2013.
Diren is married and has three children. His personal fields of interest are electronic circuit designing, computer coding and app development, philosophy, history, travelling, shooting, skiing, and meditation.
