Hüseyin Cengiz; born in Tunceli in 1976, completed his primary and secondary education in Tunceli and part of his high school education in Izmir. He graduated from Kocaeli University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 1998. After graduating from university, he started working as the third generation in family companies that started commercial operations in 1956.
In 2001, he established his own company, independent of his family company, and started food supply activities for public institutions and organizations. In 2010, he started production activities with a meat cutting and processing facility in Izmir Kemalpaşa. In 2016, innovative food production started with expanding the factory. Started to offer new products to the Turkish and world food markets with products such as bone broth with marrow, ready-to-drink soup and Turkish Coffee with collagen. These products, with “Zel” brand name, won first place awards for innovation in Germany and Abu Dhabi. As the approved supplier of the United Nations worldwide, continues to supply humanitarian aid operations through the United Nations. After taking the position of Board of Directors at Izmir Industrialists' and Business person's Association (IZSIAD) in 2016, he contiued this duty for three terms.
He was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of IZSIAD in 2024 during the General meeting of IZSIAD. He continues his duty, which he started as a BASIFED Board Member in 2021. He was elected to the TURKONFED Board of Directors at the general assembly held in 2024. He is a founding member and member of the board of trustees of the Izmir Disaster Foundation, which was established in 2024.
He wrote six books, one of which has been translated into Greek, published in the genres of essays, memoirs, biographical novels and novels.
