The TÜRKONFED 20th Enterprise and Business Summit was held in Izmir on 18-19 November, in cooperation with Western Anatolitan Federation of Industiralists' and Business Associations (BASİFED).
The two day event brought together leading business people from across Turkey in networking and business bridge events, a panel on family business as well as the gala dinner, where chairman of Akfen Holding Mr. Hamdi Akin delivered a keynote speech.
Opening remarks at the event were given by BASİFED President Levent Akgerman, TÜSİAD President Cansen Başaran Symes, TÜRKONFED President Tarkan Kadooğlu and Mayor of Izmir, Aziz Kocaoğlu.The main panel of the event titled "Family Business as Global Players", entailed exchange of ideas for competitive family owned businesses through the insight of speakers, Luca Peyrano, Executive Director of London Stock Exchange's ELITE Program, Perihan İnci, Member of the Board of Directors of İnci Holding, Massimo D'Eufemia, Head of Office European Investment Bank and Feyhan Yaşar, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yaşar Holding.
