The Entrepreneurship and Business Council met in Denizli on its 38th edition. TÜRKONFED's President Kadooğlu stated "There cannot be economic development without democracy"
The 38th edition of the Entrepreneurship and Business Council met on May 27-28 in Denizli hosted by GESIFED. The event counted with the participation of the Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, TÜRKONFED's President Tarkan Kadooğlu, TÜSIAD's Vice-President Şükrü Ünlütürk and GESIFED's President Gültekin Okay Salgar who delivered the opening speech for this event, and which attracted great interest.
TÜRKONFED presented the 2014 Agenda Report and drew attention to the Middle Income Trap, as it went on focusing on the political-economic and social areas. "The way out from the Middle Democracy Trap relies on the Private Sector" was TÜRKONFED's theme for this 38th edition of the Entrepreneurship and Business Council. TÜRKONFED’s member GESIFED hosted the event in the city of Denizli on May 27-28 2016 which was organized by the Entrepreneurship and Business Council. Other federations and business associations also attended the event along with many businesspeople.
The opening speeches were delivered by the Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, the Governor of Denizli Şükrü Kocatepe, the Mayor of Denizli Osman Zolan, TÜRKONFED's President Tarkan Kadooğlu, TÜSİAD’s Vice- President Şükrü Ünlütürk, and GESİFED’s President Gültekin Okay Salgar. The panel themed “ The way out from the Middle Democracy Trap relies on the Private Sector”, was moderated by the President of Denizli’s Art Room Müjdat Keçeci, with the participation of the other panelists such as KONDA’s Research Center Director Bekir Ağıdır, along with TÜSİAD’s and TÜRKONFED’s Vice-President Şükrü Unlütürk, and the Vice-President from TİM Süleyman Kocasert.
